The Natural History Museum of Jamaica (NHMJ) commemorates National Tree Planting Day each October with a range of activities designed to promote tree planting within schools, communities, and families. As part of this ongoing commitment, the museum participates in initiatives such as seedling distribution in collaboration with the Forestry Department under their national tree planting campaign. These efforts have included successful partnerships with various educational institutions through programmes like the Museum Teach and the Raising Environmental Awareness and Literacy for Early Childhood and Special Education Institutions (R.E.A.L.) Programmes. Activities have involved both tree planting exercises and the distribution of seedlings to students and staff.
