Keron Campbell is the Botanist at the Natural History Museum of Jamaica (NHMJ), The Institute of Jamaica. He has completed a Bachelor’s degree with honours in the field of Botany (Major) and Zoology (Minor) and a Master of Science degree in the field of Natural Resource Management (with a focus on Tropical Ecosystems Assessment and Management) both at the University of the West Indies, Mona.
Mr. Campbell’s main focus is maintaining, managing and preserving the national collections. He is also mandated to have a continuous collection of specimens to add to the collection.
Judeen Meikle is the Assistant Botanist at the Natural History Museum of Jamaica . She has a B Sc. in Zoology (Major), Botany (Minor) with honours and has just completed her Mphil. in Botany. The main focus on Predictive Modelling of Eastern Jamaican orchids. Both degrees were completed at the University of the West Indies.
Ms. Meikle’s focus is similar to that of the Botanist.
– HERBARIUM TECHNICIAN– Mr. Courtney Lyn
Mr. Lyn is responsible for the optimal collections care by guaranteeing proper care and maintenance of botanical specimens and collections equipment in adherence to guidelines and procedures of the NHMJ’s Collections Policies and international standards.
– PLANT MOUNTER– Ms. Annmarie Williams
Miss Williams is responsible for the preparation of all plant specimens for the herbarium collections and to assist with the maintenance of the collections.
– DATA ENTRY OPERATOR– Mrs. Nicole Collins-Warren
Mrs. Collins-Warren is responsible for the entering of both botanical and zoological data in the Natural History Museum of Jamaica.
